Measuring Noise Parameters Using an Open, Short, Load, and λ/8-Length Cable as Source Impedances

چکیده
Noise parameters are a set of four measurable quantities which determine the noise performance radio-frequency device under test. The 2-port can be extracted by connecting 4 or more source impedances at device's input, measuring power with each connected, and then solving matrix equation. However, sources high reflection coefficients cannot used due to singularity that arises in entries matrix. Here, we detail new method parameter extraction using singularity-free is compatible high-reflection sources. We show open, short, load an open cable ("OSLC") extract parameters, practical measurement approach. OSLC approach particularly well-suited for low-noise amplifier frequencies below 1 GHz, where alternative methods require physically large apparatus.

An experimental study of axial load transfer mechanisms of cable bolts using axially split embedment apparatus
The load transfer mechanisms of cable bolts differ from those for normal rebar bolts. The cable bolts used in mines are basically steel strands with different constructions depending on the number of wires or elements and the way they are laid. Tendon bolts (rebar and cable) are normally evaluated for their strength and load transfer properties. The tendon strength can be evaluated by the tensi...

This paper describes openSDK, an open-source implementation of Sony's AIBO development kit (OPEN-R). openSDK is capable of running unmodi ed AIBO programs (only a recompilation is necessary) on a standard computer, using a simulator at full frame rate (currently only USARSim is supported) or on a di erent robotic hardware platform. openSDK also o ers standard debugging facilities for AIBO progr...
متن کاملMeasuring the Quality of Open Source Software Ecosystems Using QuESo
Open source software has witnessed an exponential growth in the last two decades and it is playing an increasingly important role in many companies and organizations leading to the formation of open source software ecosystems. In this paper we present a quality model that will allow the evaluation of those ecosystems in terms of their relevant quality characteristics such as health or activenes...
متن کاملMeasuring Success of Open Source Projects Using Web Search Engines
What makes an open source project successful? In this paper we show that the traditional factors of success of open source projects, such as the number of downloads, deployments or community activity are inconvenient to collect or insufficient. We then correlate success of an open source project with its popularity on the Web. We show several ideas of how such popularity could be measured using...
متن کاملEnvironmental noise modeling within an open source GIS
1. Introduction The work consists in designing and building up a model of noise propagation caused by vehicular traffic in urban environment. Obviously the problem has already been deeply described in literature: the new approach we have studied and developed tries to give a simple model suitable to estimate the noise values and to simulate different scenarios due to a change in the traffic pla...
